SHELBY M. SMAIL joined Nidey Erdahl Meier & Araguás, PLC in 2024 as an associate attorney. Shelby’s practice includes but is not limited to family law, juvenile law, and criminal defense. Shelby earned a B.A. from the University of Iowa, where she studied psychology and philosophy, and a J.D. from the University of Iowa Boyd College of Law. Shelby’s legal experience includes working as an extern with the Hon. Justice Thomas Waterman, who is on the Iowa Supreme Court, and the Hon. Judge Patrick McElyea, a Scott County District Court judge, in Scott County, as well as working as a law clerk at Nidey Erdahl Meier & Araguás, PLC since 2022.
