FRANK J. NIDEY, a founding member of our law firm, retired as of July 1, 2022.

Mr. Nidey graduated with distinction from the College of Law at the University of Iowa in 1980. He practiced as a Public Defender in the Burlington and Cedar Rapids offices of the Public Defender in the first several years of his career but has been in private practice in Cedar Rapids since 1984. Mr. Nidey is a member of the Iowa State Bar Association, the Iowa Association for Justice (formerly the Iowa Trial Lawyers Association) and the Linn County Bar Association where he serves as a member of the Charitable Contributions Committee and as Chair of the Family Law Committee. He is the co-author of “Mandatory Penalties, Victim Cooperation and the Judicial Processing of Domestic Abuse Assault Cases” published in the sociology journal Crime and Delinquency and has presented a number of continuing education programs.

Practicing law in eastern Iowa for more than 35 years, Mr. Nidey has significant experience in most areas of the law and is accepting the following types of cases:
