FRANK J. NIDEY, a founding member of our law firm, retired as of July 1, 2022.
Mr. Nidey graduated with distinction from the the University of Iowa College of Law in 1980. He practiced as a public defender in the Burlington and Cedar Rapids offices of the State Public Defender in the first several years of his career and then in private practice in Cedar Rapids from 1984 until his retirement in 2022. Mr. Nidey was a member of the Iowa State Bar Association, the Iowa Association for Justice (formerly the Iowa Trial Lawyers Association) and the Linn County Bar Association where he served as a member of the Charitable Contributions Committee and as Chair of the Family Law Committee. He is the co-author of “Mandatory Penalties, Victim Cooperation and the Judicial Processing of Domestic Abuse Assault Cases” published in the sociology journal, Crime and Delinquency, and presented a number of continuing education programs.
